Dimitris is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, completed a PhD in structural integrity under extreme loads on ship structures at the National Technical University of Athens and a MBA degree on strategy and financing of technology scaleups at Warwick Business School.

Dimitris worked in shipbuilding for 10 years, delivering among others finite element simulations for newbuildings and large scale conversions. Co-founded a startup in the ship loading calculator space. Following that, worked in different roles, from senior software developer to development manager, in the automotive industry for 15 years. Currently Dimitris manages technology, innovation and architecture for Production Software in Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.

Throughout his career, Dimitris combined hands-on software engineering, mechanical engineering and simulation, in shipbuilding, sheet metal forming and CAM, focusing on modeling of manufacturing processes with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence within the Industry 4.0 realm.
