Electrification of mobility, including everything sailing, is undoubtedly an elegant approach to solving pollution, reliability and design problems. The power storage issue remains though a relatively big thorn on the side of the effort. Exaggerated by fossil fuel proponents, but still something to be addressed as the projected demand for alkalis such as Lithium is higher than the supply. DNV GL in this paper is exploring the new and improved technologies for the batteries of the future.
